The Day of Service Event will be packing 1,000 Kind Kits for the unhoused in North Dakota. First, we contacted Missouri Slope Areawide United Way out of Bismarck ND with our idea. Together we discussed the items they have a need for which includes winter and hygiene items. Using data of their current adult to kid intake percentages, we determined that 10% of the kits will be for kids and 90% will be for adults. In our kits, we will have items like winter hats, winter gloves, handwarmers, toiletries, feminine products, snacks, socks, and more. The kids kits that would have a fidget toy, activity books, and age-appropriate snacks as well. FFA members will pack these “Kind Kits” at our State Leadership Conference held in September.
